Where our Tahoe work stops
Our yard is in Carson City, and our Tahoe work runs along the Nevada shore. South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista, Olympic Valley and Truckee are across the state line in California, and we do not take jobs there. When we say North Lake Tahoe or South Lake Tahoe on this site, we mean the Nevada side of each.
We would rather say it plainly than leave you guessing.
Why California is a different matter
California licenses tree work through its Contractors State License Board, which publishes a Tree and Palm bulletin for the C-49 classification, and tree jobs above a dollar threshold need a contractor with the right state licence. We do not take jobs in California.
Nevada is different. The Nevada State Contractors Board's consumer guide lists removal and trimming of trees and shrubs among work that does not need a contractor's license, so there is no state license number for tree work. Our Nevada Business License number is 20131580674, and we are fully insured.
Where to start on the Nevada shore
Each Nevada town has its own page with local numbers: Incline Village, Crystal Bay, Glenbrook, Zephyr Cove, Stateline and Kingsbury. Tahoe tree rules, including the 14-inch permit line, are in the Tahoe permit guide.
If you are not sure which side of the line your address is on, call 775.232.8243 and the office will tell you. For a California address, ask for a California-licensed company and ask to see the license.
The nearest help on our side of the line is Incline Village and Crystal Bay on the north shore, and Stateline and Zephyr Cove on the south.
