Crane tree removal in Carson City, NV
Crane tree removal in Carson City is done by Battle Born Tree Service with its own crane, which works out of our yard on US Highway 50 East, about 8 minutes from the center of town without traffic. The crane lifts a large tree out in sections, up and over the house, so nothing has to be lowered past the roof on ropes.

Why do Carson City trees so often need a crane?
Age is the short answer. The Census Bureau estimates that about 49% of Carson City's roughly 25,000 housing units were built before 1980, and the median home dates from 1981. A shade tree that went in with a 1975 house has had half a century to grow. The lot did not get any bigger in that time.
The result is a trunk a few feet from the eaves, a crown that reaches over the garage and a fence line on the far side. There is nowhere to drop a piece of that tree, and lowering it limb by limb takes a long day of rigging. A crane takes the weight instead.
What does a crane removal look like from the street?
The crane parks where our team decides it has the right reach, usually the driveway or the edge of the property, and sits on outriggers. A climber goes up, fastens the crane's line above the planned cut, and makes the cut while the operator holds the piece. The section then rises, swings clear of the house and comes down in the drop zone, where the ground crew cuts it up and feeds the chipper.
One Google reviewer, whose review does not say where the job was, described a crane removal this way: "The pine tree they removed towered over our house by approximately 50 feet-but no problem-a crane arrived and they separated the tree in several pieces and air lifted it up over the house and right into the shredder." Richard V., Google review.
Is it really less disruptive than the old way?
Our own description of the method says yes. Traditional large tree removal means complex rigging, a bigger crew and heavy machinery driven across the yard. The crane removes the need for most of that. It shortens the job and reduces the impact on the lawn, the sprinklers and the neighbor's side of the fence, and it lets us offer a safe, efficient removal at a lower cost than traditional methods.
Not every tree needs it. If our 75-foot boom truck or a climber can do the job as well, the estimate will say so.
What about trees next to the street or under wires?
If the tree stands in the street right-of-way, check with Carson City Public Works before any work is booked. For wires, the crane can work near a home's service line and other obstacles, and the arborist plans the lift around them. NV Energy handles its own primary power lines, so a tree in contact with those starts with a call to the utility.
What is left when the crane drives away?
A clean yard. Brush is chipped, logs are loaded with the Bobcat T870 track loader and hauled away, and the stump can be ground if you ask for stump grinding in Carson City on the same estimate.
