Room and reach. The census area averages roughly 6 acres of land per housing unit, open ground included, and most of it is valley floor. A mower on our 2014 Bobcat T870 track loader rides over soft sand and rough ground that would stop a tractor, and it cuts sagebrush, rabbitbrush, tumbleweed and dry grass to a low stubble in one pass.

## How often does desert brush need cutting?

Less often than grass. The nearest precipitation gauge, Silver Springs 6.6 SSW about 8 miles away, averages 6.22 inches a year in NOAA's 1991-2020 normals.
