A conversation first. The office will ask what came down, what it is resting on and how a truck gets to it. Golden Valley is a 47-minute drive from the yard on a clear road, so the more we know before leaving Carson City, the better the first trip goes. Then an assessment on site by a certified arborist, and then the work: the tree taken off the structure or out of the driveway, the remaining trunk made stable or removed, and the debris chipped and hauled. ## Grown trees, open hills The Census Bureau's survey puts the median Golden Valley home at 1980.
