# Tree removal in Cold Springs, NV

Tree removal in Cold Springs is planned as a single, well-prepared trip: the community is about 50 miles and about 59 minutes without traffic from the Battle Born Tree Service yard in Carson City. Most trees here are young, since about two thirds of homes were built in 2000 or later.

## What kind of trees get removed in Cold Springs?

Mostly landscape trees from the past 20 years. The American Community Survey shows only about 7% of homes here predate 1980. Younger trees come out because they died, because wind broke them, or because they were planted too close to something. They are usually small enough to take down without a lift.

## Cold, dry and windy

The Stead weather station, about 6 miles away at a similar elevation, averages about 11 inches of precipitation, about 16.7 inches of snow and a winter low near 25 degrees. That is a hard place to be a newly planted tree. Some do not make it through the first years, and a dead young tree is a quick removal.
