# Will tree removal damage my lawn or driveway?

It can if the plan ignores the ground, which is why the plan comes first. The arborist chooses where equipment sits and where pieces go, and the aim is to leave the yard as it was.

## Where damage comes from

Three things mark a yard: heavy wheels on soft or wet turf, a dropped piece landing where it should not, and sharp turns or digging near buried lines. A driveway can crack at the edge if a loaded truck is parked on a thin or old slab. None of that is mysterious; it is a matter of planning where weight goes.

## How the plan limits it

A tree lowered in controlled pieces, or lifted away by crane, does not need to be dropped on the lawn. With the crane, pieces fly to a drop zone chosen ahead of time, which keeps them off landscaping. Our equipment includes a 2014 Bobcat T870 track loader, whose tracks spread weight more than wheels do, and the crane stands on outriggers at a spot the arborist picks. We cannot promise a mark-free result without seeing the site.

Tell the arborist about sprinkler lines, drip tubing, low-voltage lights, an old driveway slab, a septic tank or a leach field. Flag them so everyone sees them.

## What customers write about cleanup

The most repeated point in our Google reviews is cleanup. "They cleanup like they were never there" (Heather M., Google review), and "when they were finished the clean up job was spectacular and no debris was left behind" (L. Gen, Google review). Those are customers' words about their own jobs.

If you notice a problem, tell the office right away at [775.232.8243](tel:775.232.8243) so it can be looked at.

Before the crew starts, walk the site with them and agree on where equipment will park, where pieces will land and which areas are off limits. Take a few photos of the lawn, driveway and beds for your own records. If the ground is soft from irrigation or a thaw, ask whether the job should wait or whether mats are needed. Those are the kinds of questions the arborist can answer at the free estimate, with the site in front of them.
