# How long does a tree removal take?

It depends on the tree and the site, so we do not promise a duration. The arborist can tell you what to expect after seeing the tree at your free estimate.

## What changes the time

Four things drive it. The first is the size and condition of the tree: a large trunk with many limbs takes longer than a small one. The second is access, meaning how easily the crew and equipment reach it and where the pieces can go. The third is the method; a crane can move big pieces quickly once it is set up, but the setup is its own step. The fourth is cleanup, because wood, brush and chips all have to be handled.

Add to that the surroundings: a tree over a roof or near wires is cut in controlled pieces, and careful work takes the time it takes.

## What customers have written

We do not set a time for you, but some reviewers have described their own jobs. One wrote that the crew "completed the job in half the time I would have expected" (Pamela P., Google review). Another wrote "Finished in under 90 minutes" (Lisa D., Google review). Those are their experiences with their trees, not a promise for yours.

## Scheduling versus job time

Two different questions hide here: when the crew can come, and how long they will be on site. Both are settled with the office. The phone line is staffed seven days a week at [775.232.8243](tel:775.232.8243), and messages are returned within 8 hours. After a severe storm the priority is existing clients, but we serve anyone in need, and emergency service is available 24 hours a day.

Ask for the plan at the estimate, including whether the crane is needed, and what the day will look like.

A useful way to plan is to ask three things at the estimate: how many people will come, what equipment will be on the street and what the cleanup will include. Those answers tell you more about the day than a single number. If your schedule is tight, such as a wedding, a closing or a roof repair waiting on the tree, say so when you call, and the office will tell you honestly what can be arranged.
