# Can you remove trees close to buildings in a busy complex?

Often yes. We own a crane and a 75-foot boom truck for trees close to structures, wires and other obstacles, and our site describes crane-assisted removal as having less impact on the surroundings than traditional methods.

## Equipment chosen for tight sites

Our crane work is described on our site as a safe and efficient no-impact removal at a lower cost than traditional methods, with less time and less impact on the surroundings. Pieces are lifted out instead of dropped, which suits a courtyard, a roof edge or a parking lot with cars around it.

We also run a track loader and skid steer for ground work. What fits depends on the access, the soil and what is overhead, and the arborist decides at the visit. The 75-foot boom truck is the other tool for reaching over obstacles. See [crane-assisted tree removal](https://battleborntreeservice.com/tree-services/crane-assisted-tree-removal/).

## Planning around people

Tell the office when the property is busiest, where the entrances and fire lanes are and which parking can be closed. The arborist plans work zones around parking, walkways and building entrances. Industry safety standards such as ANSI Z133 are written around keeping people out of the drop and work area.

We do not promise a day or a time. The visit is the place to discuss timing, closures and notices to tenants.

## Wires and public space

A tree near a service line is a different job. Unqualified people must stay 10 feet from lines up to 50 kV, and NV Energy handles its own lines; request line trimming at nvenergy.com/tree. OSHA publishes a guide, Electricity and Tree Care Work, on working near lines.

If the crane or the work sits in a public street, the jurisdiction may require a permit; see [street permits for crane jobs](https://battleborntreeservice.com/faq/crane-work/does-a-crane-job-need-a-street-permit/). Call [775.232.8243](tel:775.232.8243) or use the [free estimate form](https://battleborntreeservice.com/free-estimate/).

Tenants and residents want to know what is happening. Ask the office for a plain description of the work zone and the days you can share with them. We do not publish schedules in advance, but the plan can be written up for your notice.
